Originally adapted from the 1904 stage play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, Peter Pan first appeared in novel format in Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens (1906). The beloved story known to most was published in 1911, taking the reader on an adventure to Neverland, accompanied by Wendy, Peter, and a host of fantastic characters. The epilogue, unique to this book, revisits Wendy years later, now an adult with a daughter of her own.
